Mansfield Town sign midfielder Keiran Murtagh

Mansfield Town have signed Antigua &Barbuda international midfielder Keiran Murtagh from Macclesfield Town.

The 24-year-old, who has 10 international caps, joins the League Two-bound Stags on a free transfer.

The former Charlton Athletic trainee started 44 games for the Silkmen in all competitions last term.

Murtagh told the club website: “The club’s ambition of wanting to push on and progress in the Football League was a big factor in me signing here.”

Stags manager Paul Cox has now made three summer signings, including Jamie McGuire and Paul Black.
