Rohan Hector ABFA Newly Appointed General Secretary

(St. John’s, Antigua )- The President and The Executive Committee of the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA), on Thursday, appointed Mr. Rohan Hector to serve as the general secretary.

Mr. Hector brings a wealth of experience to the position having worked in several sectors, including business, culture, entertainment and tourism. His experience augurs well for the updated developmental agenda of the ABFA specifically and the overall progress of organized football generally.

ABFA President Mr. Everton Gonsalves, in welcoming Mr. Hector, said the appointment is the first in a series of steps towards ensuring that the ABFA aligns with its parent bodies, CONCACAF and FIFA, and fulfils its local mandate.

• Event Coordinator in the National Festivals office from 2008-2010
• Special Projects Coordinator Ministry of Tourism from 2010-2014.
• Adviser to Minister Of Tourism 2014 – 2017
• Chairman Board of Directors of the St. John’s Development Corporation 2014-2017
• Chairman of the Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority from the period 2014-2016.
• Co-owner/Manager of L.A. Music, a recording and publishing company established in 1991. He also holds the position of Musical Director and Manager of the EL-A-Kru Band from 1991-present.
